Pinterest DIY Baby Shower

Hello there!

Just wanted to show some DIY-projects that I've seen on Pinterest and tried to do myself. I think they turned out pretty good. I organized a baby shower for one of my best friends and made these little things:

 The first one was to make baby onesies look like cupcakes with a sock in the middle. For this one I recommend small sizes on the onesies. Mine were different sizes, so some worked well and others didn't. But the recipient was happy - and I was too! :)

The next thing I created was these lips with pacifiers (inspired by all the mustaches out there). Pretty cute, I think. For this I used my Silhouette SD and drew the lips and circles. Pretty sure there are pre-made shapes for this, but I didn't have enough money on the Silhouette account :P For the pacifiers, I used the same paper as the invitations.

2013

Finally, I have gotten my computer back after 2 or 3 weeks without it. One evening when I was working on many things at the same time on the pc it just went bonanza on me and didn't wanna work anymore. Turned out that the hard drive had crashed!! With the help of a relative he managed to save all my more than 41 000 pictures! Which I am so grateful for. I bought a new internal (500 GB) and external hard drive (2 TB) so now I have no excuse not to save my photos :)

I've had a wonderful Christmas with my family at Teneriffe with all inclusive and living right next to the pool = awesome! We tried segways, I tried letting small fish eat on my feet (apperently the latest thing to do), went to a water park, drank "copy" drinks (fake drinks that had the same name as the real ones, i.e. a Mojito tasted like a big breath mint), we (I) went shopping a lot and just relaxed. It was not often I thought of "the real life", and it was so nice not to.

Planning a baby shower for one of my best friends, which is taking place on saturday. Still have a lot to do.

Hopefully I have some work at the kindergarten next week. I really enjoyed it there.

And I'm really hesitant to if I should (or want to) go to Austria again to work. Think I'm still gonna do it even if I don't want to. If it's really bad I'll just go home or find something else. And maybe it's better once I get there?!

Wonder what the new year has is store for me.

"Bonnie" layout w/ BoBunny

Unfortunately I can't remember which sketch I looked at while creating this, think it was Creative Scrappers, but not sure. Anyway, it's about my best friend who's pregnant and they (everyone) call the baby Bonnie (their names put together) until they know which sex the baby has.

Only BoBunny papers, fall collection (last year?) and my Silhouette got to work as I tried it for the first time with the Maroccan pattern and then used the left overs to create decorations (the flower at the top and the long stem under the picture).

Another layout created with a sketch from Creative Scrappers, #233. It's about my mom, "One of the best". Only MME papers and I've used my Silhouette to cut the scalloped edges and the left overs turned into accordion flowers.

Creative Scrappers #229

I really enjoy the sketches and inspiration that Creative Scrappers provide. Here I made a layout about my youngest niece as she blows out the candles. I've combined papers from MME, Crate Paper and My Little Shoebox on and the sketch #229 from CS.

Christmas craft

Last year I decorated these candles and wrapped them into cellophane, as a little give-away to my friends. It was really easy; I bought inexpensive candle decorations. Picked them apart and together again with some wire and then put it around the candle. Done :)

Wonder what I'm gonna do this year... Any ideas?

Clock and Letter I

Made a clock (from a canvas) for my nieces 8th birthday. Used my Silhouette Cameo for the black numbers and to make a stencil for the chevron pattern. And then just messed around with acrylic color, distress ink, nail polish :P and more.

The thing with the name on it is supposed to be a cardboard letter, "I" as in Isabelle.

Made some of the flowers from fabric yarn (if it's called like that?) and just put brads in the middle. My Cameo was also here put to work to make the glitter letters, and I have to say that I had to set the knife to 5 and it still didn't go through!! The CS was quite thick, but I could still peal the letters out and use them.

On this side I put a anonymous quote in "The only make-up a girl needs is her smile". Now I just hope she takes that with her in her heart. :)

Enjoying family and friends

Yesterday was spent at Liseberg, Gothenburg, with my nieces and their grandma. We had a hot summer day and a lot of fun. I even won some candy, which I usually never do! And this was the 2nd time to Liseberg this summer, one more time than normally :P

Anyway, last weekend I had my first wedding photography session, and it was for my best friend. I think it went well, but I'm my own worst critic, hehe.

Hi there!

Been a while since I last posted anything. I have kinda lost my "mojo" for scrapping the past few months. I've managed to do a few layouts, so I'll try to show them soon. But I think it has mostly been because I went to Austria to work for two months and didn't bring any supply for scrapbooking, I also wouldn't have had any time for it either. And another cause can be that the photos I've taken is not "scrappable" in my opinion and so on. I also think it could be because I haven't found a job yet :( but I'm working on that!

But I'm thinking about doing some wedding layouts from my best friends upcoming wedding. And not to put any pressure on me I've decided not to give the layouts to her (them) as a wedding gift (logical as it can't be done before the wedding) but finish the layouts when I feel like it. Today, I took some photos of their engagement rings (minus the wedding ring) and they will probably use one photo to put in the menu. :)

Keep your fingers crossed, because I have just e-mailed an application to Creative Scrappers!! :) I really like their sketches and I also enjoy the inspiration I get from the design team members! Here's a layout I've made from sketch #160 with papers from My Mind's Eye. Love the glitter!!

Passion for skiing

By this time of the year, I start getting abstinens if I can't go skiing. I get so blue if I can't go, and seeing other peoples pictures of their skiing holidays just makes it worse. Therefore, I will probably apply for a job as a ski teacher again at the ski school where I have worked once before. Although, this time it's only for a few weeks - but I need to ski!!

The dream scenario would be to live at a place where I have close access to go skiing, preferably to both Austria, France, Italy AND Switzerland :P and have a job that isn't from 9-5, so that I could go skiing during the day! :) Then comes the tricky part: how to get there. I have so many possibilities I just need to pick a few and go with that.

My new dear Pinterest... So much inspiration, so little time...






I have found Pinterest - and joined :) I get so much inspiration from that place. Here I've put together a collage of photos of how my house should look. Think it will have time to change, but I can dream, can't I?!
I am loving this pic of the couple - totally gonna to that one! And when my best friend is getting married, I'll do the picture frame-photo. Good thing that she has two nephews that can hold it! Can't wait to try it.

Need to scrap!

So, back from a wonderful trip to Beijing, China. My first time there and my parents and I visited my boyfriend, who is doing an internship over there. We have done so much sight seeing and shopping that we are totally exhausted now. I bought a pair of ear phones, some jewelry, and thing were of course really cheap :P And we couldn't miss to visit the Forbidden City and the Great Wall among other things. Just wish my boyfriend could have come back with us :( We didn't see each other for 4 months and now I have to wait another 2 until next time... Long distance suck sometimes...


Anyway, I still have some x-mas gifts left to do/shop. Not sure what just yet :P And I really feel like doing some scrapping but we'll see about that, maybe there's time after the holidays (read next year) since we are going away again in just a few days and I have to work on my report for uni.

Minialbum

För ett tag sedan frågade jag min pojkvän vad han ville ha i födelsedagspresent och till min förvåning svarade han "ett album om/med oss"! Han är inte speciellt intresserad av scrapbooking men jag brukar ändå visa allt jag gör, och han är den första pojkvännen som faktiskt har velat ha något "scrappigt". Jag har då tänkt att göra ett minialbum, jag gillar tanken på minialbum men har sååå svårt att faktiskt göra dem. Men så kom jag på ett sätt att göra det enklare - att se varje sida som en enskild minilayout. Efter att jag ritat upp en skiss på varje sida var det bara att sätta igång!

Här ser ni (förhoppningsvis) hur jag har ritat skisser direkt på sidorna. Sen är det bara till att börja!

Magdas kortskiss v. 40

Okej, det blev lite renovering i bloggen då jag gjorde headern på praktiken idag. Tycker den blev riktigt snygg. Och den enda bakgrunden jag hittade som passade till var denna, ska leta vidare efter en med lite mindre snirklar och sånt Men än så länge passar det ju eftersom det är Halloween. 

Detta kortet fick min pappa på sin födelsedag. Ett väldigt enkelt kort, innehållet var viktigare.

Magdas tisdagsskiss 25 okt - Celebrate

Ännu en layout skapad efter en skiss hos Magdas, ingår ju i tävligen för oktober och jag har bestämt mig för att göra alla utmaningar. Man har på sig till 31:a oktober, vilket är imorgon :P Men här blev det en lo om min födelsedagstårta av rulltårtebottnar färgade med karamellfärg i gult, grönt och rött fylld med bär = jättegod! Ska dock ta om bilden, färgerna blev ju inte bra..

I stort sett alla produkter är från My Little Shoebox och resten från mina gömmor. Ser ni att jag har fått till ett chevronmönster? Det gjorde jag med en stämpel och stämplade med flera färger samtidigt.

Denna lo:n ingår inte i tävlingen, men ville visa den ändå. Man kan se det lite som en "glöm ej"-layout, för det är nämligen dagen vi blev pojk- och flickvän och fotot är från samma kväll. Gjorde layouten som en 1-årspresent till mig själv. Och nu i efterhand (vilket jag inte tänkte på då) har vi ändrat vår årsdag till den 25:e eftersom han fyller år den 26:e...

I stort sett bara rub-ons och mister.

 Gjorde även ett kort till mannen min, fast han ska få det i december när vi träffas.

Stämpeln med texten är från My mind's eye "10 things I love about you", knappar från egna gömmor, papper plus band har jag ingen aning om var de kommer ifrån.

Magdas skiss v. 42

Det där med att "digiscrappa" fick jag mersmak på och det blev ytterligare en layout med samma kit med bilder på min syster. Och jag ska i fortsättningen vränga till en del bilder som är på min familj, även om det tyvärr förstör helhetsintrycket, eftersom man inte vet var bilderna kan hamna ute på nätet.

Fortsätter på hösttemat :)

Kort av spillbitar (Magdas)

Detta var en utmaning för mig, att skapa ett kort av spillbitar. Efter att ha lagt fram ganska många olika papper i olika storlekar valde jag ett genomgående färgschema (undrar varför jag har så mycket blåa och gröna papper?) och tänkte på ordet "lapptäcke". Av spillbitarna blev det ett enkelt kort till någon som fyller år, vem vet jag inte än, hehe.

Många olika papperstillverkare blev det, men det blev ändå harmoni. Bakgrundspappret är cremegult.

Chevronmönster + skiss v. 40

Hos Magdas har de en liten utmaning där man ska skapa ett chevronmönster på sin skapelse. Jag slog två flugor i en smäll och gjorde både chevronmönster och en tisdagsskiss:

Stämplar från My Mind's Eye, cardstock-papper, blommigt papper från BG samt mister (i stort sett).

Jag inspirerades väldigt mycket av upplägget på layouten som låg under skissen.

AWKWARD.

Jag har alltid gillat böcker, tv-serier, filmer m.m. där det handlar om tonåringar, eller "ung" kärlek i high school. Och på MTV går det just nu en serie som heter Awkward. Serien lever upp till sitt namn, behöver jag säga mer? När de först gjorde reklam för den så var jag inte alls sugen på att ens titta lite på den, men på nåt sätt gjorde jag det ändå och nu fullkomligt ÄLSKAR jag den! Jag vet aldrig riktigt vilken tid den går på tv så jag lyckades titta på den på lite andra ställen (lika bra som på tv) och nu kan jag inte vänta på en andra säsong. Kommer bli jättebesviken (och arg) om de inte gör en säsong till.

Behövde få ur mig detta :P

Btw, jag "gjorde" ett fat i somras. Guld- och rosaglitterfärgad mosaik med vit fog. Allt material kommer från Panudro!

Jag kommer drömma Awkward drömmar i natt :P
